We’ve out together some useful free cyber security resources to help you understand the cyber security threats and know what action you can take to help prevent them. Cyber security is a growing concern for all businesses, large and small.
Just under half (46%) of all UK businesses identified at least one cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months. This rises to two-thirds among medium firms (66%) and large firms (68%).*
ActionFraud is the UK’s national fraud and cyber crime reporting centre.
It is important to report any incidence of cyber crime to ActionFraud to help them keep abreast of the latest threats and find a way to prevent or fix the problems caused by the attacks.
You can report cyber crime through the website, which also provides access to free resources and news of the latest fraud and cyber threats.
Ransomware (and malware as a whole) is a global problem threatening all businesses and computer users. The tech community has responded to this issue and grouped together to provide free tools that can decrypt the files encrypted by ransomware.
The ‘No More Ransom Project’ offers preventative advice and information alongside a platform for businesses to buy and trade decryption keys between themselves.
The No More Ransomware Project
We have developed a free web resource to help tackle cyber crime. Split into core sections (Plan, Educate, Manage, Secure, Recover, Attacks), the website covers all you need to know about cyber security – from understanding the threats and protecting yourself from a cyber attack, to how to recover from an attack.
The website is also regularly updated with the latest alerts, threats and solutions.
If, having used these free cyber security resources, you’d like some hands-on cyber security advice and support, please get in touch. We have a dedicated cyber security team who would be pleased to help. You can contact them at cybersecurity@bluegrass-group.com or on 01392 207194.
