Cyber Security Awareness Week 2018 is officially on!
Over 70 business people joined us at the Exeter Southgate Hotel on Thursday for the official launch of our Cyber Security Awareness Week 2018.
Now in its second year, Cyber Security Awareness Week (CSAW), the only UK event of its kind, is a week-long programme of free informative presentations, networking opportunities and workshop sessions to help South West business owners tackle the cyber security threat.
Cyber crime is not something that is genuinely spoken about outside of the major news headlines, so it’s easy to think that it’s not a threat to small businesses. However, this is a misconception which could prove extremely damaging if not fatal to those that fail to take note.
CSAW is designed to address this lack of awareness and help business owners understand what they need to do to protect themselves. We’ve got a bigger and better programme for 2018 which includes a day focused on GDPR and data security, hands-on workshop sessions, a local cyber crime case study, and a real-life hacker!
