5 reasons you need to attend CSAW 2020

Cyber Security Awareness Week (CSAW) is designed to raise awareness on the threats and implications of cyber attacks and educate local business owners on the measures they can take to reduce their vulnerability. We’re passionate about fighting cyber-crime and we want you to be too.

If you’re not yet sure if attending CSAW is for you, read our 5 reasons why it’s a date that needs to be in your diary:

  1. Cyber Crime affects SMEs

Now in its 4th year, Cyber Security Awareness Week (CSAW) is an established programme of events designed to educate you on the best ways to protect your business. We’re passionate about fighting cyber crime and as we become even more reliant on the cloud to manage our business operations, our exposure to cyber security threats increase. It’s not just large organisations that need to worry either. A recent survey on ransomware by our lead sponsor Datto revealed that 1 in 5 SMEs have fallen victim to a ransomware attack.

  1. There’s a session that’s perfect for you

CSAW is a week long series of events, so whether you take in information best over a leisurely lunch over an evening drink, or if you prefer hearing from other like-minded business owners sharing their own cyber attack experiences more formally, we’ve got something for you. With 4 Cyber Breakfast sessions, a Roundtable Lunch, a Networking Evening (with interactive quiz) and a full Conference day of speakers and workshops, there really is something for everyone. Check out the full programme here.

  1. Get up close and personal to industry experts

We’ve got a fantastic line up of speakers at your disposal. From market leading security players such as Datto, Sophos, Appriver and  Keepabl to local business experts Stephens Scown sharing the latest approaches to cloud cyber security. If that’s not enough, the BBC’s The Real Hustle’s Alexis Conran is presenting our Key Note; all about the human face of security in 2020.  Don’t miss this opportunity to fire your questions their way in our exclusive Panel Q&A during the conference session.

  1. Its local

We started our journey right here in Exeter back in 2007 and it’s the heart of many successful, growing organisations. All of our sessions are Exeter based and due to growing numbers, this year our main conference event is being held at the fabulous Exeter Racecourse. With ample free parking, easily accessible by road and rail and fantastic facilities, you’ll not have to go far to access this wealth of knowledge.

  1. Its Free

You heard that right, its completely free to attend. There’s no catch, no hidden charges, no expectations, nothing. All we ask is that you turn up, absorb and make the most of it. Can it get any better? Yes, it can. For everyone who attends our conference this year, you’ll receive not one but two FREE passes to the Exeter Racecourse.
